Boost walking dramatically — from the national average of 4000 steps a day to 8000-10,000 with Walktober. This simple month-long wellness program motivates everyone — from inactive individuals to those already making a move — to step out and step up to better health.
How It Works
Participants track daily steps (using a step counter) or dedicated walking minutes (using a log card) and Walktober’s autumn leaves stickers. The goal is to accumulate 5 or more stickers a week:
- 30-44 minutes/6000-7999 steps = red leaf
- 45-59 minutes/8000-9999 steps = orange leaf
- 60+ minutes/10,000+ steps = gold leaf.
